U24 -Ukraine24 Foundation. Charitable Foundation - Spotlights to protect from suicide drones (Shahed)

The importance of spotlights to protect our community from suicide drones (Shahed) which are being used by the Russian invaders. These drones are being manufactured in Iran and sold to the Russian federation.

Soldiers of the Chernihiv border patrol protect our border from drones flying from Belarus into Ukraine. These suicide drones have become a increasing threat to our community.

The Chernihiv border patrol know how important this issue is, and they’ve been working hard to stay up-to-date with the latest technology to protect us from suicide drones. Currently they use the Hunter 4 mobile searchlight station. Which has excellent range to spot drones flying in the air.

A forward observer uses binoculars equipped with a thermal imager and a laser pointer. It can Identify targets at long ranges and he calls out targets for his anti-air units. It uses the laser to make it easier to point out the target rather than just calling out grid and direction references.

Once the target has been identified and tagged with the laser that is where the spotlights come in. Which illuminates the target and makes it easier for the anti-air units to take down the target.

We are asking for your help to acquire funds to purchase these Hunter 4 mobile searchlights. With your help we can make the skies of Ukraine safe and protect our communities.
